FORMA-COFFEE TABLE

A study in form and material.

Our debut piece explores the relationship between organic form and solid timber. Sculpted from ash, its curved silhouette and naturally formed legs create a balance between softness and structure.

Designed as a centrepiece rather than simply a functional object, the table is made by hand in our studio, with every detail considered from the proportions of the top to the transition between the timber and the floor.

  • Solid Ash

    Forma is crafted entirely from solid ash, selected for its strength, natural character and distinctive grain.

    Each piece of timber is carefully chosen and refined by hand, allowing the natural variation and individuality of the wood to remain part of the finished table.

  • Due to Forma’s organic, curved silhouette, dimensions are measured at the widest points of the piece, representing its maximum overall length and width.

    The curved form means the actual footprint varies throughout the piece, allowing Forma to occupy a softer, more sculptural presence within a space.

  • WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY

    Every piece is delivered with the same care with which it was made.

    Our white glove service includes careful handling and delivery directly to your home, ensuring your furniture arrives safely and is placed exactly where you want it.

    Delivery costs vary depending on location and will be confirmed at the time of enquiry.

    LEAD TIMES

    Approximately 3–4 weeks

    Each piece is made to order and given the time required to achieve the intended finish and quality. Lead times are typically around 3–4 weeks, with a more accurate timeframe confirmed when an order enquiry is made.

    We’ll provide an estimated completion and delivery timeframe based on current studio availability.

  • Considered individually.

    As a design studio, we welcome considered requests for custom finishes, materials and other bespoke details. Each request is assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the design, materials and making process required.

    Where possible, we work with you to create a variation that remains true to the character and intention of the original piece.

  • Made by hand, made individually.

    Each piece is carefully designed, shaped and finished by hand in our Norfolk studio. The natural variation within the timber means that subtle differences in colour, grain and texture may occur between each table.

    These natural variations are an inherent part of the material and making process, giving every piece its own individual character.

OUR DEBUT PIECE

This first piece from Zebedee Studio began with a simple idea — to create something that feels both natural and architectural.

Formed from solid ash, the table explores soft, organic curves against the strength and permanence of timber. Its proportions are deliberately considered, allowing the piece to feel substantial within a room while retaining a sense of lightness.

Every element is made and finished by hand, with the natural character of the timber remaining an important part of the final piece.

This is where Zebedee Studio begins.

Zebedee Studio creates considered furniture inspired by the forms, materials and details found in the world around us. Each piece is designed to stand on its own, made in small numbers with a focus on material, form and individuality.

OUR APPROACH

Each piece begins with careful consideration of form, proportion and material. We select high-quality materials for their character, durability and natural beauty, then refine every detail throughout the design and making process.

From the first idea to the finished piece, nothing is considered incidental.

Made in Norfolk

Based on the Norfolk coast, our studio is where each Zebedee Studio piece is designed, developed and made.

Working from a small independent studio allows us to give every piece the time and attention it deserves, from the first idea through to the finished form.
